If you like competition, then you will want to find one that offers you the opportunity to compete in local and national tournaments. Just be aware that the bass fishing clubs that offer competitive opportunities usually require you to make application and pay yearly dues to become a member.
You may also want to consider the size of the bass fishing clubs that you are looking into. The new fisherman who is joining for the purpose of learning, may want to find a smaller club where he can get some one-on-one teaching. Just be sure that the leaders of the club are qualified to be teaching bass fishing and willing to spend the necessary time with you. The competitive bass fisherman may want to join a larger club, as the opportunities for being involved in bigger competitions will be much greater.
